Last year someone mentioned making a /now page on mastodon. Basically a page I can update every so often to let folks know what I'm up to.
Life kinda getting better ngl. Mom and I get along alot better and work is pretty smooth more or less. It's still work, but what can you do besides tear down the American Empire?
I got into therapy in Early August, not I see a therapist once a month and the sessions have been helpful
I started school recently and it'd be an easy semester if i didn't have this one Doctorate level class. I mostly kept it so I would stay on pace for credits. The professor and the class itself are pretty cool, but it's about writing academic papers so it's no more than vestigial to me outside of the credits it gives.
I've been expanding my gaming pallete recently. I've branched out to games other than Vsav after work. Here's a some of the niche games I've played on fightcade in the past two months.
In addition to that i've played some interesting single player games like "Sorry We're Closed, a horror game that isn't as about retail as the title implies, and Code Reactors, a 2D action RPG with DMC combat and card spells that remind me of Chain of Memories.
I'm also plugging away at Judgement, and I wanna return to River City Girls at some point. between work, school, and my long ass commute, it's hard to do as much gaming as I want. I wish my steam games were DRM free so at least I could play them on my work PC.
About halfway thru Hajime no Ippo. And I'm almost finished watching Cavaleiros do Zodiaco. I should find something dubbed in Japanese to for practice, but I'm not sure what
been keeping up with LHHATL and it's pretty wild. There's alot of tension between the Frosts, and Mendeecees, but I can't shake the feeling that the show and its producers are desperately trying to stay fresh. I'm not fully sure if I'm even describing things correctly.
Either way it's an entertaining show.
About a month or so ago I went to a Kinokuniya store in GA and got some JP language books. I started off reading "Yotsuba to" cuz I heard it was a good starting manga to read.
That book was kicking my ass at first. It does get easier to read past the beginning, and I wanna get good a reading thru stuff even if I don't understand 100%
A few days ago I started reading the Kirby gag manga I bought, and that shit is hilarious. It's probably about as hard to read as Yostsuba if not a little harder cuz there's alot of wacky dialects.
However, that manga is funny as hell, and I cause a ruckus laughing at that pink dipshit. I'll try to re-read it later for better comprehension and to study the grammar forms i don't fully understand, but for now I wanna just enjoy what I can.
Not sure what to read next, maybe I'll get back to reading the Alchemist. I don't really vibe with the worldview, but it's a beautiful story.
I finished the Sumo video, which means I should tackle one of the other video editing projects on my to-do-list, but idk where to start. It'll probably be one of the TSS related videos.
I had an idea to write something for this site predicting where the meta in Lumines: Arise will go. If I'm feeling ambitious I'll try to translate it into Japanese, but no promises.
